The curriculum is designed to train students using a multidisciplinary approach that integrates technological advancements. After completing courses in the agriculture field, students can apply for jobs in both government and private organizations. Graduates can begin their careers as Officers, Executives, or Supervisors in various roles, such as marketing, production, administration, and sales within the agro-industry sector. Career opportunities include positions like Agribusiness Officers, Commodity Traders of Agricultural Produce, Executives in agricultural firms, roles in Agri Import-Export firms, and positions with wholesalers or retailers in Agri-Input and Agri-Output sectors. Additionally, students can explore careers as Agri-Entrepreneurs, work in the Agri-Finance sector, or other allied industries. There are also excellent opportunities for self-employment. With experience, students can establish their own businesses, such as agriculture farms, agri-product shops, agri-based industries, or plant health clinics, leveraging their knowledge and skills gained during the program.

 

2. Is actual field experience provided during the program?

Yes, this two-year full-time Diploma Program, affiliated with Kalyani University, combines classroom teaching with laboratory experiments to ensure a holistic learning experience. In addition to theoretical knowledge, students participate in a 4-6 weeks internship program during the course. Through this internship, students gain hands-on experience and practical exposure by working in agro-based industries, agri-allied industries, agricultural production units, and various agricultural institutions. This field training equips students with the necessary skills and industry insights to excel in their careers.

 

3. At the time of admission, is the presence of the candidate compulsory?

Yes, the candidate, along with a parent or guardian, must be present at the admission desk. However, in certain exceptional situations, admissions may be completed through the online portal.

 

4. Is there an entrance exam for admission?

No, the institution offers direct admission to the program based on the candidate's academic qualifications.

 

5. Is there any provision for distance learning?

No, the program is a full-time course, and there is no provision for distance learning.

 

6. What is the Course Fee Structure?

The total course fee is Rs. 1,50,000/-.

• At the time of admission, Rs. 50,000/- must be paid.

• The remaining Rs. 1,00,000/- is to be paid in 7 (seven) instalments.

 

7. What is the Expected Salary After Completing the Program?

After completing the program, graduates can expect an initial salary of Rs. 18,000/- to Rs. 20,000/- per month, depending on the job role and the organization they join. With experience, this salary is likely to increase significantly.
